Edison Terra

Vice President, Polyolefins S.America/Europe & Renewables

Edison Terra is vice president for Braskem Polyolefins Business in South America and Europe and, for Renewable Chemicals business since January 2017. He is accountable also for all sales from Braskem polyolefins assets in Brazil into other regions. Currently, Edison is at the board of directors at APLA (Asociación Química y Petroquimica Latinoamericana) and president of INP (Instituto Nacional do Plástico, in Brazil).

Prior to his current role, he has been responsible for the Polyethylene Business for the past 5 years. In that position, his responsibilities included the overall P&L of the PE assets in Brazil, what comprehends all commercial and industrial operations, investments and Strategic Planning for the global Braskem PE business, being the last one in partnership with the leader of Braskem’s PE business in North America.

Mr. Terra joined Braskem in 2002 and had different roles since then. His experience includes Exports, Marketing and Supply Chain at the Polyolefins Business, Commercial and Supply Chain at Basic Petrochemicals and as well as President at quantiQ, the largest chemical distribution company in Brazil, at the time owned by Braskem.

Prior to joining Braskem, Edison has worked for 9 years at Rhodia, with positions in the Marketing, Product Management, Commercial, eBusiness and Controllership areas. Edison is an Industrial Engineer from Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo and has a master degree in Business Management at Fundação Getúlio Vargas, in São Paulo.
