Kremena has over 18 years of experience in the field of international finance. She is currently a Principal Investment Officer and a Global Sector Lead for Chemicals & Fertilizers at the IFC. Kremena is responsible for the overall chemicals and fertilizer business at the IFC, including sector strategy, business development, transactions processing and portfolio. In her capacity she is leading multi-disciplinary teams in executing investment transactions in the chemicals and fertilizer space in various emerging markets around the globe. Kremena’s transactions have included debt, equity, quasi-equity investments with local and global sponsors, as well as facilities for distributor/end-customer and supplier finance. Prior to this, Kremena was with IFC’s General Manufacturing and Southern Europe & Central Asia Departments where she led new ventures, expansions, operational turnarounds and acquisitions in various manufacturing sectors in emerging markets.

Kremena holds MBA from Georgetown University and MS in Economics from Varna University.
