Ingeniero de Telecomunicaciones egresado de la Universidad Santo Tomas de Aquino de Bucaramanga, ha recibido más de 10 capacitaciones en el exterior con proveedores de soluciones analíticas, ha trabajado en el sector de Oil&Gas por más de 15 años como especialista en el área de instrumentación analítica, precomisionamiento, mantenimiento, arranque, entrenamiento y coordinación de proyectos; actualmente se desempeña como líder de soluciones de integración y modelamiento en INSURCOL LTDA.

Eric Peer is Senior Technology Manager for H-Oil Technology and a Principal Expert in Conversion Technologies at Axens North America.  He has 30 years’ experience in the refining industry, primarily in heavy oil/residue upgrading areas, including technology development, process engineering, research and development, and developing software applications.  He has co-authored more than 20 papers on the subject of heavy oil and residue processing and holds patents on the subject.  He has a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.

Matthew Neal is a Senior Technical Sales Engineer within Honeywell UOP’s Catalyst, Adsorbents and Specialties group based in the UOP Des Plaines Office in the US. He specializes in Hydrotreating catalysts and supports customers in the North and South America regions, developing custom catalyst reload solutions with UnityTM Hydrotreating Catalysts as well as providing continuous operational support.

Matthew has been with UOP for over 7 years & has worked for UOP in various roles including Manufacturing Product Technology, Engineering, and Field Operating Services. As a Field Service Advisor, he provided onsite guidance and expertise during new unit commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting for hydrotreating, hydrocracking, and aromatics complexes at multiple refineries worldwide. Matthew received his Bachelors in Chemical engineering from the University of Illinois, Champaign – Urbana, United States.

Li Xingwen, Sinopec representative on technology and marketing in Americas, vice chief engineer and director of Project Management Dept. of China Petrochemical Technology Company Limited (Sinopec Tech).

Bio: Li Xingwen graduated from East China University of Chemical Technology (ECUCT) in 1987 and since then has been working with SINOPEC, he earned his MBA degree in 2010 from University of International Business & Economics (UIBE). Li Xingwen has rich experience in petrochemical industry, specifically in refinery and petrochemical plant construction, operation, as well as technology transfer business. In November of 2017, Mr. Li was relocated in Houston as the representative on technology and marketing in Americas.

Dr. Roberta Cenni holds an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Bologna, Italy, and a PhD in Energy Technology from the University of Stuttgart, Germany. Roberta has been employed with Topsoe since 2000, where she has held various positions in R&D, Sales, Business Development and Marketing. Her filed of expertise is in the development and commercialization of processes and catalysts for the chemical industry. At present, she is dedicated to development, marketing and sales of Topsoe Hydroprocessing Reactor Internals, which are undergoing a refocusing effort that has resulted in various first-of-a-kind products within the last three years.

Mikala Grubb graduated from the Technical University of Denmark with an MSc in Chemistry in 2003 and a PhD in 2007. She joined Topsoe in 2007. Mikala has a background in R&D where she gained experience within the fundamental reaction mechanisms of hydrotreating and hydrocracking catalysis, catalyst preparation, catalyst commercialization, as well as scale-up of hydrotreating and hydrocracking catalysts. Mikala holds a position as Senior Business Development Manager in Refinery Business Unit, where she is responsible for Topsoe’s HydroFlex™ technology for hydroprocessing of renewable feedstocks to renewable diesel and renewable jet fuel.

Pankaj Desai has 39 years of professional experience with refining and petrochemical process technologies, catalysts, reactor internals and other proprietary hardware (e.g., cyclones, and particulate emissions controls) and software such as process technology models.

Since 2007 Pankaj is the lead business development licensing sales manager and commercialization leader for Shell’s technologies (e.g., hydroprocessing, catalytic cracking, distillation, thermal conversion, gas treating), liaising with Shell technology leaders/focal points and third-party/oil industry executives, refinery managers, process managers, capital project directorates, etc.  Prior to joining Shell, Pankaj held various positions in R&D, marketing, sales, technical services, business development and licensing at Akzo Nobel and Albemarle Catalyst Company from 1980 to 2007.

Pankaj has a B. Tech. degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (I.I.T.) Kanpur, and a Masters and Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston.

 

 

Berk is the co-founder and CEO of Fero Labs, an automated machine learning software for the industrial sector. Factories generate massive amounts of data, but the tools used to analyze them are dreadfully outdated. Fero Labs brings the power of cutting-edge AI and machine learning to factory personnel, unlocking billions of dollars of productivity improvements. Berk holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Columbia University, where he developed scheduling algorithms for optimizing cellular base stations in 5G networks. He has several patents in IoT systems for resilient fiber-optic networks.

Steve Gim is currently the Regional Technical Service Manager for BASF Corporation. Steve has over 25 years of experience in the refining industry, with roles encompassing catalyst selection, FCC process design & start-ups, modeling, and refinery planning. Prior to joining BASF, he was the principal technologist for Technip Stone & Webster. He also spent 5 years as a market and trading analyst for Enron and Reliant.

Steve holds a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Texas and a MBA from Rice University. He is also a CFA® charter holder.
